Pemodelan Sistem – Tugas 4
Random Variate adalah suatu random variable yang berasal dari fungsi distribusi peluang tertentu.
Dalam pembangkitan random variate, ada beberapa teknik yang dapat digunakan yaitu Inverse Transform Method, The Rejection Method, dan The Composition Method.
1. Inverse Transform Method
Umumnya dapat digunakan untuk menggenerate variate dari distribusi diskrit dan kontinyu. Namun kebanyakan digunakan pada ditribusi kontinyu karena mudah dan efisien.
Prosedur pada distribusi kontinyu adalah sebagai berikut:
- Misalkan sebuah fungsi densitas probabilitas adalah f(x)
- Cari fungsi distribusi kumulatif dari X
- Set nilai U = F(x), dimana U adalah nilai acak Uniform(0,1)
- Hitung nilai x dimana x=F-1(U)
Contoh penerapan Inverse Transform Method pada kehidupan sehari-hari
Pada suatu sistem antrian waktu interval rata-rata 60 detik yang terdistribusi eksponensial. Ketika pelanggan datang ke sistem, mereka bergabung dalam antrian untuk menunggu giliran menggunakan sistem. Antrian memiliki kapasitas tak terbatas untuk menampung pelanggan. Pelanggan menghabiskan rata-rata 40 detik terdistribusi eksponensial pada sistem untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaannya, yang disebut waktu jasa (service time).
Dengan random number sebagai berikut:

| U waktu pelayanan | 0,039 | 0,844 | 0,742 | 0,609 | 0,820 |
Simulasikan sistem kedatangan dan pemrosesan 5 pelanggan, dan estimasikan / perkirakan:
- Waktu tunggu yang diharapkan pelanggan di dalam antrian (waktu rata-rata pelanggan menunggu di dalam antrian)
- Waktu yang diharapkan dalam sistem (waktu rata-rata pelanggan menunggu di dalam antrian ditambah dengan waktu rata-rata yang diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan transaksinya)
Langkah pengerjaan
- Diketahui ß1 = 60 dan ß2=40 dan U maka langkah selanjutnya adalah mencari nilai x (interinterval) = – ß ln(1-U)
- Buat tabel simulasi logic.
- Waktu datang= X1i + X1i–1
- Begin service, untuk customer ke 1 = waktu datang. Untuk customer setelahnya = jika waktu datang ke i > departure ke i-1 maka begin service nya waktu datang ke I dan sebaliknya.
- Service time = X2i
- Departure tine = begin service + service time
- Time in queue = begin service – waktu datang
- Time in system = departure time – waktu datang
- Hitung rata-rata waktu tunggu dan waktu disistem

Dari hasil tabel diatas, didapatkan rata-rata waktu tunggunya 25.56 detik dan rata-rata waktu di sistem 72.817 detik
2. The Rejection Method
Metode Rejection adalah salah satu metode pembangkitan bilangan acak yang secara langsung memanfaatkan fungsi ditsribusi bilangan acak f(a).
Bila bilangan acak yang dibangkitkan berada pada daerah fungsi f(a) maka a diterima dan bila tidak, maka a ditolak. Metode ini sangat sederhana tetapi untuk membangkitkan banyak bilangan acak diperlukan waktu yang cukup lama namun membawa implikasi yang menarik yang akan mengantarkan ke arah pencarian acak (random walk) yang sangat terkenal.
Algoritma metode rejection:
- Bangkitkan 2 bilangan acak berditribusi uniform x dan y dengan [0,1].
- Bila y<f(x) maka x diterima dan bila tidak x ditolak.
Contoh :
Bangkitkan 10 bilangan acak berdistribusi Poisson :

Hasil dari pembangkitkan bilangan acak berdistribusi poisson dengan rata-rata 2 untuk a=[0,10] menggunakan metode rejection adalah sebagai berikut:
Dari hasil di atas terlihat bahwa untuk membangkitkan 10 bilangan acak, diperlukan 97 kali percobaan, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode ini tidak terlalu cepat untuk membangkitkan suatu bilangan acak. Tetapi kelebihan metode ini yaitu mudah diimplementasikan karena tidak berurusan dengan inversi dari fungsi distribusi f(a) yang terkadang cukup rumit.
3. The Composition Method
Pendekatan lain untuk mengenerate variable random dengan menggunkan pendekatan komposisi. Dimisalkan X memilik CDF Fx, dan kita akan mensimulasikan nilai dari X,

dimana Fj adalah CDF juga, pj ≥ 0 untuk semua j, dan sigma pj = 1
– Dan jika density atau kerapatan ada kita tapat menulis
